We are currently seeking a reliable and resourceful Jr. Engineer to complement our skilled Engineering team, reporting to the Engineering Manager the Jr. Engineer is responsible for application and interpretation of codes, processes and practices affecting welding, fabrication and quality assurance initiatives. This candidate will be assisting our customers in all phases of the design process to the implementation phase.

Responsibilities:
Study project plans, requirements and budgets
Assist with preparing drawings and plans of projects
Verify accuracy of measurements, materials specified, depths of trade
Evaluates data and conducts experiments to develop application of new equipment or improved techniques, procedures or practices
Makes recommendation based on sound engineering principles, practices and judgement pertaining to specific engineering issues
Process changes orders and revisions to plans
Report completion of work stages
Improve current manufacturing processes to increase productivity
Investigate alternative manufacturing processes to increase productivity
Create, train and implement various work instructions as required
Complete all paperwork in accordance with procedures
Maintain cleanliness of work area
Other duties as assigned
Education & Qualifications
Mechanical Engineering Degree
Knowledge of manufacturing processes (cutting, forming, machining, welding, etc.) would be considered an asset
Basic knowledge in Solidworks as well as AUTOCAD
Strong team, communication, problem solving and planning skills
Advanced knowledge is Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access, etc)

Salary and Benefits
Salary: CAD 50,000 - CAD 60,000 per Year
