Job Description

Gobind Sarvar Brampton is looking for an experienced and dedicated Junior Elementary Teacher for the 2025-26 academic session to teach students in Grades 4 to 6. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of the Ontario curriculum and demonstrate a commitment to student achievement, engagement, and character development.

Requirements:

Teaching experience is mandatory

; applications without prior teaching experience will not be considered. Experience teaching in

Grades 4-6

or in a junior/intermediate setting is strongly preferred. Must be able to plan and deliver

curriculum-based, inquiry-driven lessons

across multiple subject areas, including language, math, science, and social studies. Strong ability to implement

assessment for, as, and of learning

, and to track and report on student progress using various tools and strategies. Must be fluent in English with excellent

oral, written, and reading

communication skills.

OCT certification is recommended

; candidates who have applied for OCT will also be considered. Effective

classroom management

, organization, and the ability to foster a respectful, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment. Must work collaboratively with staff and parents to support student learning and school-wide goals.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of young learners. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages communication and collaboration among students. Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as needed. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student development and classroom activities. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and share best practices. Utilize technology and educational resources to support learning objectives.

Pay: $37,500.00-$40,000.00 per year
