ALFA Engineering Ltd. is a well-established Regina-based Electrical Engineering Firm. We provide prime and sub-consulting services for commercial, institutional, educational, municipal, recreational, and light industrial construction projects. Most of our projects are located within the Province of Saskatchewan, but we are also authorized to provide consulting services in Alberta, Manitoba, and the Northwest Territories. Our scope of work includes the design and contract administration services of electrical distribution, generators, emergency power systems, wiring device design, lighting and lighting control systems, data and voice communications systems, security systems, audio/visual systems, and life safety system designs, including exit lighting, emergency lighting, and fire alarm systems.

We are currently seeking to add a Junior Design Engineer to our team. The position will be full-time and office-based in our Regina, SK office.

Your duties will include:

- Liaising with owners, consultants, and other project stakeholders to identify and establish project design requirements,

- Assessing available material and technology to determine its suitability for use on specific projects,

- Conducting site investigations to determine existing system condition and composition

- Developing preliminary, schematic, and detailed designs and specifications for building electrical systems

- Performing construction contract administration services.

Your qualifications include:

- A degree in Electrical Engineering from an Accredited Electrical Engineering program recognized by the University of Saskatchewan or

- A degree in Electronic Systems Engineering from an Accredited Electrical Engineering program recognized by the University of Regina,

- Current registration or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan,

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word software and

- Experience in the use of Revit and AutoCAD software applications is preferred, but education can be provided if required.

- Are self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Are well organized and can manage their time efficiently and effectively, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects concurrently.

- Enjoy working with a diverse group of design, construction and administrative professionals interested in a" team" approach to design and construction.

- Have a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan driver's license. While this is preferred, it is not a requirement.
