Successful candidates should have 2 years' experience and are or will be registering as an intern with AIBC or AAA. If you have a passion for excellence in sustainable design, join our team!

Requirements:

  • Strong design skills required
  • Good working knowledge of sustainable building design
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborative and professional work ethic
  • Experience with Revit essential
  • Experience with Rhino
Responsibiliites:
  • Develops architectural designs and concepts through drawing, writing, sketching, and modeling
  • Develops detail sketches
  • Takes redlines and applies to drawings/models
  • Prepare CAD drawings and specifications in Revit, Rhino, and other programs.
  • Performs area calculations according to specified standards
  • Reviews and apply building codes, by-laws, space requirements, site requirements, heathy materials and sustainable building products to the design
  • Assists in the preparation of cost estimates and determine quantity of materials from conceptual drawings
  • Research manufacturers’ materials and systems
  • Understands fundamentals of basic engineering systems
  • Constructs 3D models for internal and client presentations

Strong communication, interpersonal skills, time management, and project management skills are essential. * A Master degree in Architecture
  • 2 years’ experience in an architectural firm
  • Registered Intern with AIBC or AAA
  • Proficient in 3D and 2D graphics software (Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper).
  • Proficiency in hand-drawn design and illustration
  • Working drawing experience
  • LEED Green Associate or agrees to qualify within 6 months of hire
