). This role requires knowledge of building automation, HVAC and mechanical systems.
As a
Junior
BAS Designer,
your responsibilities will include Design, documentation, and/or programming of building automation systems (BAS) in compliance with project plans and specifications. Proactive communication with project team both internal and external including requests for information (RFIs) and technical risks and opportunities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design of complete building automation systems, including the specification and sizing of controllers, electromechanical devices, sensors, networks, and computer hardware.
Documentation of the BAS design (i.e. controls submittals) and revision of the resultant documents as needed
Coordinate creation of necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
Assist in validation of system functionality; troubleshoot problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.
Gather field changes from the project team and create as-built drawings and software.
Support of functional testing (commissioning) for building systems.
Final documentation of the building automation system that incorporates all changes made since issuance of the submittal.
Adherence to project requirements and company and customer standards in all aspects of design, programming, and implementation.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Degree or diploma in engineering or related field (or equivalent).
Experience with Designing BAS systems
At least 1+ years of related experience installing and/or commissioning controls systems.
Demonstrated technical aptitude, including in-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
Exceptional interpersonal communication abilities, facilitating effective collaboration across various organizational teams.
Proficient with Microsoft Suite (
Visio
, Excel, Word).
Able to write sequences of operations for common HVAC systems and control methodologies.
Comprehensive understanding and troubleshooting of building automation systems and their components.
Valid G license and access to a vehicle is required.
