RGE RD Restaurant is hiring a Junior Line Cook / Dishwasher!
RGE RD Restaurant has established deep roots in Edmonton and is a mainstay among the top restaurants in the city. Our restaurant works in tandem with our whole animal shop, The Butchery, sourcing all products directly from producers and dry aging everything in house. We do baking, charcuterie, prepared foods, butchering and wood fired cookery within our walls--nothing is outsourced. Responsibilities
Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen tools efficiently to ensure availability for ongoing food service
Ensure proper handling and storage of food items to prevent contamination
Follow all safety protocols related to food handling and sanitation standards
Assist in inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock needs
Perform other duties as assigned
Experience
Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods is advantageous
Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is a plus
Experience with dishwashing or kitchen sanitation practices is beneficial
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role
