Position: Junior Chief Financial Officer - IT Company
Location: Montreal
Salary: $120K to $150K per year

We are seeking a candidate with robust experience in M&A, a proven record in strategic fundraising, and the ability to foster positive relationships with banks, investors, and a dedicated Board of Directors.

One of our client is a young and dynamic high tech company with exciting international projects, is currently seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join their team!

Reporting to the co-founders, the responsibilities include:
- Creating and executing a budget and business plan that aligns with the company\'s business strategy and focuses on the execution of financial and accounting activities
- Being responsible for the company\'s M&A initiatives, identifying synergistic targets and guiding the due diligence process
- Evaluating the financial implications of potential mergers or acquisitions, providing strategic counsel to the executive team
- Devising and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies, securing capital to propel product innovations and expansion
- Crafting compelling business cases, intuitive financial models, and presentations for potential investors
- Fostering and upholding strong relationships with financial institutions, ensuring access to capital, favorable financing terms, and efficient cash management
- Acting as the primary liaison for current and prospective investors, delivering regular updates on financial performance, strategic initiatives, and growth prospects
- Collaborating with investor relations to address inquiries and maintain transparent communication with stakeholders
- Overseeing the creation of accurate and timely financial statements, aligning with industry standards
- Developing and maintaining financial models and flow charts, offering a comprehensive understanding of our financial performance, trends, and forecasts
- Collaborating with Board of Directors, presenting financial insights, reports, and contributing to strategic discussions.
- Working closely with board members to align financial strategies with overarching mission and product development goalsRequirements:
- Bachelor\'s degree in business, accounting or finance, with MBA and CPA (CA) or CFA certification
- Experience with M&A and financing
- 7+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
- Strategic focus and strong business acumen; entrepreneurial and innovative drive
- Strong communication skills including clear and concise presentation skills
- Proven success in analyzing business operations with positive bottom-line impact - mandatory
- Energetic and inquisitive self-starter with a creative approach to your work
