Junior Carpenter
Job Description
Duties:
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install trim items such as doors, stairs, molding, and hardware
- Install electrical components such as switches, outlets, and light fixtures
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a carpenter
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting construction plans
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods
- Skilled in using hand and power tools to fabricate, build, and assemble structures
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, shape, and join materials
