Role Summary





The

Junior Business Analyst

supports the analysis, reporting, and documentation needs of the Directory One operations team. Working under the guidance of senior analysts and technical leads, the role involves monitoring processes, assisting with data collection, preparing reports, and contributing to workflow improvements.



This position is ideal for candidates who are early in their business analysis career and looking to gain experience in a large-scale technical operations environment.

Key Responsibilities




Assist in analyzing operational processes and identifying potential areas for improvement. Support system operators and engineers with data gathering and documentation updates. Generate and maintain reports to track performance metrics and system health. Document operational workflows and maintain up-to-date process guides. Escalate technical or process issues promptly and assist in tracking resolutions. Participate in cross-functional meetings to capture requirements and ensure alignment. Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling operational and performance data. Learn and apply business analysis tools and best practices in a UNIX-based environment.



Qualifications and Skills




Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills. Basic understanding of UNIX systems or other operating environments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Good communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in

English and French

. Ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively in a team-based environment. Willingness to work shift schedules in a 24/7 operations setup. Familiarity with IT operations or telecommunications concepts is an asset.



Education and Experience




Associate degree or higher in Information Technology, Business, Telecommunications, or a related field.

1-2 years of experience

in a business, data, or operations analysis role (internship or entry-level experience accepted). Exposure to IBM AIX or legacy UNIX environments is an asset but not required.



Work Schedule




Rotating shifts covering

Day (7 AM-3 PM)

,

Evening (2 PM-10 PM)

,

Night (9 PM-7 AM)

, and

Weekend (7 AM-7 PM)

. *

On-site presence required
