The Opportunity
Under the general direction of the Supervisor, Automation, this role is responsible for the day-to-day support of the Automation team at Wolf.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programming and configuration of software and hardware systems.
  • Maintain Telecom for Corporate & SCADA network and all related equipment.
  • Provide Level 1 telecom support as directed.
  • Support Operations and Engineering with implementing continuous improvement activities.
  • Participate in Automation continuous improvement projects.
  • Control system technical support for system users.
  • Participate in on-call schedule rotation 24/7/365.
  • Support the maintenance of control system standards.
  • Provide technical support for peripheral control center video and security systems.
  • Assist Level 2 Telecom Support.
  • Assist in planning and execution of facility turnarounds as required.
  • Technical support for Field I/E and Measurement technicians.
  • Assist and collaborate with Access IT team as directed.
  • Travel will be required to remote locations and may require you to spend time in our camp on an as needed basis
Qualifications and Experience

Skills:
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Strong Interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, One Note, Excel, Word)
  • Consistently strive for personal growth and operational improvement including the ability to upgrade required skills and competencies.
Education:
  • Successful completion of one of the following courses:
  • Electronics Engineering Technology
  • Instrumentation and Control Technology
  • Instrumentation Engineering Technology
  • Computer Engineering Technology
  • Industry Related safety training \xe2\x80\x93 H2S and First Aid
Experience:
  • 1+ year experience in automation or a related field
  • Basic knowledge/experience of these process control system applications would be an asset but not a requirement.
  • Allen Bradley Controllogix or CompactLogix PLC\xe2\x80\x99s
  • CitectSCADA
  • ATMOS leak detection
  • Basic knowledge/experience of networking and wireless technologies would be an asset.
  • Basic knowledge/experience with liquid measurement systems would also be an asset.
