We are a reputable construction company seeking a Junior Estimator with Interior Design experience to join our team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our senior estimation team to prepare project budgets, interior design boards and schedules. About the company: We are a small construction business with over 25 years of experience. Our projects are all located in the GTA, and are mainly residential renovation projects. We also offer construction services to condos and commercial project owners. Our office is conveniently located close to TTC (Islington station). • Create detailed and accurate project cost estimates and budgets
• Develop creative interior design boards and advise clients on the latest trends of interior design, materials and colors and how to enhance their living space. Produce visually appealing mock-ups and 3D samples.
• Work closely with senior staff to ensure that all estimates are completed in a timely and accurate manner
• Develop and manage project schedules and timelines
• Attend project meetings and site visits as required
• Communicate with vendors and contractors to obtain pricing and availability of materials and finishes
• Assist in the coordination of furniture, fixtures, and equipment selections and procurement
• Understand construction methods and materials
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure all project requirements are met
• Manage project documentation and records
• Prepare documents and drawings for permit submittal

Requirements:

• Degree or experience in a construction related field or interior design
• Must have great understanding of colors and textures for interior design concepts
• Experience in estimating and budgeting for construction projects
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Understanding of construction methods and materials as well as Construction Divisions (16 Division format)
• Knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD, Rendering, Planswift and SketchUp and Microsoft Project
• Self-starter and enthusiastic about the construction industry
• Fluency in English
