Job Title:

Junior Accountant Technician

Arthur O. Solheim Chartered Professional Accountants is looking for a Junior Accounting Technician to join our team. We have over 45 years of experience assisting clients with their varied accounting and tax reporting needs. Joining our team would offer the successful candidate the opportunity to develop their accounting skills as well as gain an understanding of clients' needs as they would work on all aspects of multiple clients' files.

Description of role includes exposure to:

Performing full-cycle bookkeeping functions

Calculation of payroll including CRA remittances, preparation of ROE's and T4's

Calculation and submission of sales tax returns ("GST/HST") on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis

Preparation of Compilation Engagement Report financial statements

Preparation of corporate and personal tax returns

Assist with ensuring all client deadlines are met with regards to government filings as well as deadlines requested by client

Preparation of working paper files in accordance with firm standards and accounting rules

Assist client managers in various tasks such as preparing organization charts, engagement letters and year end checklists

Preparation of tax slips such as T5's, T4A's and T5018's

Prepare signature packages and final client packages when engagements are complete

Work in a team-based environment

Qualifications for role:

Willingness to work overtime

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
