Junior Accounting Support Clerk

Location:

Calgary, Alberta

Job Type:

Full time, Monday to Friday 8:30 - 4:30 (6 month contract to start)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the accounts payable process, performing bank reconciliations, and assisting with monthly balance sheet note preparation. This role requires strong data entry skills, a basic understanding of accounting principles, and experience with SAP.



Key Responsibilities:



Accurately enter up to 1,500 invoices per month into SAP. Perform routine checks to ensure data integrity Identify and correct discrepancies Perform monthly bank reconciliations for two accounts. Prepare monthly Balance Sheet Notes (BSNs) in accordance with internal reporting standards. Maintain organized financial records. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Prior experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes in SAP. Foundational knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Experience performing bank reconciliations. Familiarity with preparing balance sheet notes.
