Marino's Automotive Group is looking for a Junior Accounting Clerk in Etobicoke!
The Junior Accounting Clerk responsibilities include data entry, reconciling financial records, and processing invoices and payments. You will work closely with senior accountants and the group controller to maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. If you have a high attention to detail and a strong understanding of accounting principles this this is a role for you.
Job Duties
Support the accounts payable and receivable duties in conjunction with the Senior Staff Accountant, including day to day entries to PBS.
Manage the weekly payment cycle
Prepare daily bank deposits
Reconciling and recording credit card expenses, tickets, and 407 charges
Maintain filing system for accounting documents
Perform other month end tasks as assigned including bank reconciliations
Complete ad-hoc requests and reconciliations to meet Management reporting requirements
Support with other administrative tasks for the Accounting department
Provide support during the annual audit including documentation and providing explanations for audit queries
Successful Candidates Possess
Post-secondary education, specializing in Accounting or Finance
Relative experience in professional services (an asset but not required)
Strong proficiency in MS Excel
Solid understanding of accounting principles and a high affinity for numbers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong work ethic, with a self-starter and can-do attitude
A detail-oriented problem solver
Work well with minimal supervision and with the appropriate sense of urgency
