The

Junior Accounting Analyst

is responsible for supporting daily financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end reconciliation activities. This role ensures timely vendor payment processing and accurate receivables billing, while maintaining data integrity within Sage 50. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong accounting acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.


Roles and Responsibilities:




Process vendor invoices, employee expense claims, and credit card transactions in accordance with internal policies and deadlines. Prepare and issue timely remittance advice and ensure reconciliation of vendor accounts. Liaise with internal departments and external vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and manage follow-ups. Support the implementation and enforcement of internal controls for AP processes. Generate and submit invoices for receivables in Sage 50 based on program contracts and service agreements. Track AR and AP aging, follow up on outstanding balances, and reconcile customer accounts. Maintain vendor records and ensure accurate GL coding. Assist with the month-end and quarter-end close processes by reconciling AP and AR subledger accounts. Contribute to the development and documentation of AP-related financial policies and SOPs. Support the audit process by preparing documentation and schedules for external auditors. Lead resolution of AP-related audit findings and contribute to ensuring the financial statements are audit-ready by the end of Q3. Collaborate with the Financial Accountant to ensure timely and accurate recording of liabilities.

Qualifications and Skills:




Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum 1-3 years of AP or general accounting experience. Experience with accounting/ERP systems (Sage Intacct preferred). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
