Job Summary

Bourgault Industries Ltd. is looking for a team member to join our finance team to help prepare reports, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate records. You will assist with audits, month-end reporting, and collaborate across departments to improve financial processes. This role offers hands-on experience applying accounting principles, analyzing data, and contributing to budgeting and process improvements.

Responsibilities

Support financial reporting by gathering data, performing calculations, and preparing statements. Reconcile bank and vendor accounts and enter journal entries into the general ledger. Maintain organized and accurate financial records. Review financial data for errors or anomalies and report findings. Assist with monthly reconciliations and corporate reporting. Help prepare audit materials and respond to auditor inquiries. Apply accounting principles to monitor financial transactions. Collaborate with other departments to share financial insights. Contribute to improving accounting procedures and documentation. Track budgets, compare actuals to forecasts, and support variance analysis. Participate in financial data analysis and trend reporting.

Academic/Education Requirements

Diploma or degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance; accounting designation is an asset or willingness to pursue one.

Required Skills/Experience

1-3 years of accounting experience with a solid understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel, and familiar with accounting systems. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Ability to manager multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge of relevant Acts, Regulations, and Corporate Policies.

Wage Range

$52,586.00 - $76,250.00 - Starting wage is dependent on experience.
