(\xe2\x80\x9cNUMIS\xe2\x80\x9d) offers accounting, tax, and consulting services for Canadian businesses and individuals. NUMIS also offers international tax and cross border tax services. We are seeking a driven individual to fill a full time Junior Accountant role on our Vancouver based team. At NUMIS, we are looking for motivated individuals who work well in a team environment and are detail oriented. Core Responsibilities and Duties Reporting directly to the Manager, the Junior Accountant will work on tax, consulting, and compilation engagements from a wide variety of industries. The Junior Accountant would also get the opportunity to work on international tax and cross border tax files as well as other out of scope projects. \xc2\xb7 Contribute to client satisfaction by providing clients with exceptional quality, timely and responsive services \xc2\xb7 Prepare individual tax returns & corporate tax returns \xc2\xb7 Prepare working papers and support for the completion of financial statements \xc2\xb7 Prepare sales tax returns \xc2\xb7 Utilize technology to maximize efficiency and accuracy Qualifications and Experience \xc2\xb7 1+ years with relevant public practice experience \xc2\xb7 Experience with Caseware, Taxprep, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, OneDrive, Sharepoint) considered an asset \xc2\xb7 Exposure to paperless systems, including QuickBooks Online, Asana, and SharePoint considered an asset \xc2\xb7 Strong written and oral communication skills in English \xc2\xb7 Excellent time management skills \xc2\xb7 The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, then come together as a team when needed \xc2\xb7 Driven to meet simultaneous deadlines and adapt to competing priorities \xc2\xb7 References required upon interview Working Conditions At NUMIS, we recognize that work-life balance is integral to employee productivity and success.
