We have an opportunity in our Vancouver office for an Junior Accountant to join our team. This is a great entry level position in a dynamic and flexible environment with exposure to both corporate and project accounting.

Here's what you'll be doing at Kasian:

  • Processing of employee expenses
  • Processing of company expenses on corporate credit cards
  • Vendor voucher data entry into the system
  • Vendor statement reconciliations
  • Gathering and organizing AP invoice back up in preparation for cheque runs
  • Assisting with the general management of our paper / digital filing
  • Data entry of project data into ERP system
  • Gathering project expense back up for the project accounting team
  • Generating and saving down reports from the ERP system
  • Time transfers as requested from the Project Team
  • New project and opportunity setups and updates to existing projects in the ERP system
  • Invoicing updates as requested from the Project Team
  • Assisting the other accounting team members with accounting support tasks as needed
  • Supports CFO, VP of Finance, Accounting Manager, on ad-hoc clerical and accounting tasks as required
  • Other A/P & admin tasks as needed
Current Skills/Experience/Education
  • Working towards a post secondary accounting degree or diploma
  • Good Microsoft Office skills (MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook)
  • Experience using accounting software is an asset
  • A good comfort level with working with computers and software in general
