Junior Accountant - Resorts Division

Description:

We are looking for a Junior Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves diving into the financial details to join our Accounting team. This position will report to the Assistant Controller, Resorts Division.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

• Routinely perform periodic bank account reconciliations
• Posting daily bank transactions
• Assisting with period-end and year-end account reconciliations (Balance Sheet Accounts)
• Maintaining schedules and posting for inventory
• Posting period-end entries
• Preparing period-end reporting
• Preparing and submitting government tax remittances
• Managing P&L inquiries and any required adjustments
• Support annual financial statement audit process
• Promote standardization and process improvements through automation
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years experience, enrolled in the CPA program preferred
• Retail, Ski Resort or Hospitality industry an asset
• Ability to communicate well both written and orally
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to have fun in the wonderful world of accounting
• Strong knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Excel
• Superior attention to detail
• Excellent team player as well as the ability to work independently.
