Accounting Assistant, Real Estate

Our North Vancouver real estate client is looking for a permanent Junior Accountant to join the team.

**Competitive salary ranging from $50-$60K**

Location - Hybrid work schedule, current office is in North Vancouver but relocating to Surrey near SkyTrain in late 2022.

Daily Tasks
Scan and code invoices 40-50 each day (850-900 per month)
Record tenant (we have 750+ tenants) receipts (cheques and direct deposit)
Pick up, open and distribute mail

Weekly Tasks
Weekly cheque run and monthly mortgage cheque run
Input and update PAD information for tenants and vendors

Monthly Tasks
Record tenant chargebacks for utilities and recurring expenses
Notify Real Estate Managers regarding non-payment / NSF by the 5th business day
Generate AR report
Provide internal tenants with monthly intercompany statements
AR backup filing

Annual Tasks
Send out rent schedules and CAM recovery statements to all tenants
Send out property taxes chargebacks to selected tenants
Send out insurance chargebacks to selected tenants
Generate statements in Yardi and make adjustments per property tax consultant's needs.

Ad-Hoc Tasks
Tenant Ledger Reconciliation
Clear HSBC Positive Pay
Post and revise tenant charges
Process cheque refunds
Follow up on missing billings / vendors
Responding to Real Estate Manager, on-site property managers and tenants' requests

Ideal Candidate

Efficient, deadline driven and attention to details
Adaptive working style, being able to focus and multi-task
Super fast paced environment
Real Estate, Yardi Voyager and AvidXchange experience is an asset but not a must
