THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the primary responsibilities are:
  • Entering and/or reviewing all Accounts Payable entry
  • Preparing and compiling back up for all cheque runs, bill payments and EFT runs
  • Submitting payroll deductions for Staff Shuttles, Staff Activities, Ski Passes, and others as required
  • Monitoring the completion and distribution of daily in-house reports (F&B, Rooms Segmentation, Flash, and Labour)
  • Preparation of month-end journal entries, according to the policy and standard templates
  • Assisting in conducting and completing all standard reconciliation templates according to company policy
  • Assisting with the year end audit
  • Any other periodic or on demand request that may arise
QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIRMENTS
  • Post-secondary education preferred with a background in Accounting
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Familiarity with Financial Systems (AccPac), Opera, MSI, POS (Micros), and Excel
  • Hospitality industry experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions, requesting clarification as needed
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build professional relationships
  • Able to work effectively within designated timeline
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
