THE OPPORTUNITY Slegg Building Materials is currently seeking a Full-Time Junior Accountant. The shifts are Monday - Friday. The salary range is $50,000 - $60,000, based on experience. THE LOCATION This position works out of a north east Calgary location (a sister company to Slegg Building Materials) and would be working virtually with our Slegg team located on Vancouver Island, BC. THE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers
• Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as top priorities
• Store cash/till/gift card reconciliations
• Prepare daily/monthly Bank reconciliation
• Support Local Finance Rep’s at our locations on cash, till, POS issues
• Support Accounts Payable team
• Assist with Annual and Quarterly audit requirements
• Assist in month end closing processes including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations
• Ad hoc and special projects as necessary

• 1 to 2 years bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Post secondary education in accounting or equivalent experience
• Good level of proficiency with Excel
• High attention to detail
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both written and verbal
• Experience with an ERP system (NAVision) considered an asset
• A positive can do attitude is essential!
