CTK Bio Canada is currently working on multiple organic waste based composite R&D projects with universities across Canada to replace traditional plastic. CTK Bio Canada has a manufacturing facility for resin production and anticipates to expand industrial-scale resin plant by 2026.
Job Summary
A Jr. Technician is a skilled technical professional responsible for ensuring the proper operation, safety, and efficiency of machinery, equipment, and facilities. They are responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and supporting operational goals.
Key responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and mechanical systems, performing routine preventive maintenance, maintaining accurate maintenance logs, collaborating with team members to plan maintenance schedules, supporting production activities as needed, and ensuring compliance with safety standards
Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Equipment Maintenance:
Conducting preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and facilities.

Troubleshooting:
Diagnosing mechanical issues and implementing effective solutions.

Production Support:
Assisting operations and production teams to ensure minimal downtime and smooth workflow.

Collaboration:
Working closely with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to maintain and optimize equipment.

Safety & Compliance:
Following all safety procedures and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.

Technical Development:
Learning and applying new maintenance techniques, tools, and practices to improve efficiency.
- Other Duties:
Supporting operational and production goals as needed.
Education:
Technical diploma, certificate, or relevant training in mechanical, industrial, or maintenance fields.
Experience:
0-3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, industrial equipment, or similar roles.
Practical experience with troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment instructions.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams is an asset.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
Legally eligible to work full-time in Canada.
