Job Description

We are seeking a Bilingual (Spanish & English) Junior Tax Preparer to join our team for the upcoming tax season (or year-round). The successful candidate will assist in preparing individual and small business tax returns, ensuring compliance with CRA regulations, and maintaining a high standard of accuracy and client care.

Responsibilities

Collect and organize clients' tax documentation (T-slips, receipts, statements, etc.) Prepare and input financial information into tax software (ProFile) Assist in preparing T1 personal and basic T2 corporate tax returns (client facing) Review returns for completeness and accuracy before final review by senior staff Communicate with clients to obtain missing information or clarify discrepancies Maintain confidentiality of all clients financial data Support the team with administrative and filing tasks during peak periods

Requirements

Diploma or coursework in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Taxation (or currently enrolled) Basic knowledge of Canadian tax laws and CRA filing procedures Familiarity with tax software, QuickBooksand Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work independently and in a team environment Previous experience in an accounting or tax office is an asset but not required Must speak Spanish

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
