Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Jr. Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management, demonstrating leadership abilities and a commitment to excellence in the food industry. As a Jr. Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation while supporting the Head Chef in daily tasks.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation activities. Supervise kitchen staff and ensure that all team members adhere to food safety and sanitation standards. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste. Collaborate with the culinary team to create new menu items and improve existing recipes. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times. Handle any customer inquiries or complaints regarding food quality or service.

Experience

Proven experience as a jr. Sous Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant or hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and safety protocols. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with staff and customers. A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering high-quality dining experiences.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
