Summary:

Lantic is currently recruiting for the position of Journeyperson Welder, located at its Taber Processing Plant. The position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

We Are Looking for Someone Who Will:

Maintain and execute maintenance reliability, quality control and integrity programs within the maintenance department; Participate in the mechanical preventive maintenance program for processing, packaging, and/or distribution equipment; Conduct planned preventive maintenance and keep maintenance records; Accurately record repairs and maintenance performed; Have a commitment to work in a safe and efficient manner (adherence to Lock Out-Tag Out, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Hot Work, and other applicable regulations and practices); Have a basic understanding of mechanical equipment, including pumps, scrolls, conveyors, and packaging equipment; Have strong troubleshooting skills; Be willing and able to work a rotating shift schedule consisting of day and night shifts; Be willing and able to wear respiratory equipment when required; Must have or be willing to obtain Confined Space, Fall Protection, Fit Testing, and any other required training; Other duties and activities as appropriate and necessary.

What You'll Need to Join the Team:

Alberta Journeyperson Welder Red Seal certification or equivalent Canadian Journeyperson certification with Interprovincial Red Seal; Completion of grade 12 or a GED and a minimum of 2 years related work experience; B Pressure Welding Ticket would be an asset; Food industry experience is an asset; Knowledge of manufacturing processes would be an asset; Able to work independently and within a team environment; Solid background in industrial and production maintenance; Basic computer skills and ability to perform accurate information transfer into a CMMS program; Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work with others to perform all aspects of maintenance activities; Strong communication skills.
