Description


You are a Journeyperson Welder who is looking for a long-term opportunity close to home. You will be working in a Heavy Equipment Maintenance facility repairing various mobile equipment. You have a safety mindset and take pride in your work.

Essential Responsibilities:

Read and follow directions in given layouts, blueprints and work orders Welds parts, and may also build up worn parts by welding layers of high-strength hard-metal alloys onto them Assist in preparing parts to be welded, which may include cutting, punching, drilling, and bending of material Use and operate the welding equipment to fabricate and customize products Operate flame-cutting equipment General welders helper duties such as grinding, buffing and weld set up

Qualifications

Journeyperson Welding ticket from a recognized provincial authority Previous experience working on mobile construction or road maintenance equipment (loaders, graders, etc.) is considered an asset Successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing A valid class 5 driver's license and maintain a clean driver's abstract

Work Conditions:

Monday through Friday shift, working 8-10 hour days Benefits provided by CLAC
