The Sprinkler Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems and related equipment. This role requires both independent and collaborative work and involves regular travel between job sites. The technician must be familiar with and competent in the requirements of NFPA 10, NFPA 25, Provincial and Federal Fire Codes. All work must be conducted safely in accordance with OH&S regulations and Premium Fire Protection procedures.
Note:
This role is primarily focused on inspections and small repairs.
The successful candidate:
Holds a valid Certificate of Qualification as a Sprinkler System Installer under the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC)
Is registered and recognized by the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification system
May also hold Red Seal Certification, which is recognized interprovincially

Scope of Work
Perform preventive inspections and maintenance on fire protection equipment, including cleaning and minor repairs
Install new sprinkler systems
Generate accurate, detailed reports using handheld devices
Travel between multiple work sites
Submit daily Hazard Assessment forms, Weekly Vehicle Inspection forms, and attend all safety/toolbox meetings
Complete all assigned internal training
Read, understand, and participate in the company Safety Process Manual and program
Comply with all applicable government regulations
Refuse unsafe work if there is reasonable belief of imminent danger
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Identify and report workplace hazards
Take corrective action for unsafe conditions when possible
Report all injuries, accidents, and incidents
Contribute safety improvement suggestions as part of accident prevention efforts
