Are you a skilled Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician with experience in industrial plant maintenance? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team. As an Instrumentation Technician, you will play a vital role in installing electrical systems for our client.This temporary position is based at our client site in Fort Saskatchewan and will commence on June 24, 2024, and end on May 31, 2025. Selected applicants will work on a Monday-to-Thursday schedule that fits their lifestyle and allows for long weekends every weekend! Our 10-hour shifts include a paid lunch break, ensuring they have the energy to tackle the day\'s challenges. Additionally, we offer competitive rates and benefits after 300+ hours worked.What would you be doing?

  • Install, calibrate, troubleshoot and maintain process instrumentation, communication networks, and control equipment, including flow computers, tank gauging systems, custody transfer metering, and associated equipment.
  • Analyze, interpret and utilize the information contained in SCADA, LOI displays, and P ID drawings to ensure the safe operation of facilities.
  • Supports programming and troubleshooting of Local Operator Interfaces and Programmable Logic Controllers.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment.
  • Provide Instrumentation support and maintenance to ensure system reliability.
  • Use pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing devices to inspect and test instrument and system operation and diagnose.
  • Repair, maintain and adjust system components or remove and replace defective parts.
Does this sound like you?
  • Have a Journeyperson or Instrumentation Certificate or an Apprentice Instrumentation card.
  • Valid and up-to-date safety tickets: H2S Alive and Standard First Aid
  • CSTS, AWP, Fall Protection, TDG, WHMIS, and CSO are assets.
  • Have high regard for personal safety and the safety of company assets and employees.
  • Self-motivated and capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle strict deadlines.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
  • Physically capable of performing all necessary duties, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shovelling, bending, twisting, etc.
