Position Overview: Join the Finning family! Finning Canada is seeking a Journeyperson Helper to join our growing team in Prince George, Integrated Mobile Team. As the Journeyperson Helper, you will be assisting the Journeyperson Mechanics with minor repairs, general clean-up of shop, yard and machines.

This position is responsible for a variety of limited skilled duties in a service-oriented environment supporting technicians and parts people on customer site

:

• General clean up of customers\' shop, yard, build pads and machines
• Minor repairs and assisting Journeyperson Mechanics as required
• Aid Mechanics with the removal and installation of guards and steaming
• Fueling machines
• Minor service of machines (oil changes etc.)
• Attachment maintenance
• General service shop duties
• Sandblasting
• Driving Service Trucks and Pickups for various needs
• Organizing and Documenting Tooling Kits, Service Trucks, and Supplies
• Organize and sort parts orders and stage for technicians
• Must be customer focused and approachable as will be working on customer sites supporting operations.
• Take direction from Field Service Supervisors, Field Operations Managers, Technicians, and Customer Supervisors

Qualifications:

• Completion of Grade 12
• Mechanically inclined, self-starter ability to follow directions, work well within a team environment and contribute positively to a team environment
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work successfully under minimal supervision
• Past experience in a maintenance shop environment, mechanical experience, and Forklift certification would be considered assets
• Requires Valid Driver\'s License and Clean Abstract

Notes

• Position is a 14x14 rotation working 12+ hour shifts.
• Most of work will be completed on customers remote sites across BC and Yukon
• Travel Allowance Applicable to the position.
• Customer Camp Accommodations or Finning Accommodations are provided depending on site.
• Per Diem applicable to sites not camp based.
