Under the general guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor and direction of the Control Systems Coordinator, you will be part of Water Treatment DCS Modernization team that focuses on lifecycle replacement and upgrade of treatment plant DCS control systems, legacy field instrument, wiring and communication buses, pumpstation control systems, industrial process vision monitoring system, emergency annunciation and Intercom system. You will focus on industrial electrical & instrumentation, preventative maintenance or repair work in The City of Calgary's water treatment plants, pump stations, and water storage reservoirs. You will involve in teamwork and use safe operating practices, within and between Water Treatment workgroups. Primary duties include:
Install, replace, maintain, calibrate and repair electrical and instrumentation systems and related electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Maintain, operate low, medium, and high voltage switchgear.
Test circuitry to ensure integrity and safety.
Calibrate and maintain water quality analyzers for regulatory licensing.
Read, interpret and redline electrical schematics and instrumentation loop drawings.
Position, maintain and install distribution and control equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breaker panels and fuse enclosures.
Use testing devices to inspect test instrument and calibrate system operation and diagnose faults.
