We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various carpentry tasks and be proficient in working with a range of materials and tools. This role requires a commitment to quality craftsmanship, safety, and teamwork while executing projects from start to finish.
Responsibilities
Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
Build frameworks and structures using appropriate materials.
Perform flooring installation, ensuring proper alignment and stability.
Execute concrete forming tasks for foundations and other structural elements.
Fabricate custom components as required for specific projects.
Conduct electrical installations as needed, adhering to safety standards.
Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Follow all safety protocols and regulations on job sites.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
Proficiency in construction painting techniques.
Ability to plumb structures accurately for level installations.
Skilled in reading blueprints and schematics effectively.
Knowledge of flooring installation methods and materials.
Experience in electrical work is a plus but not mandatory.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various conditions.
