•The Employee shall be responsible for day-to-day plumbing, maintenance and repair tasks relating to Red Sands Plumbing clients and residents. The Employee reports to Red Sands Plumbing's Red Seal Plumber.•

Job Title: Plumber

3 years plumbing experience

Hours: Full time Monday-to-Friday, 8:00 am-4:00 pm, some weekends and evenings, as required

Start Date: ASAP

Pay: $20-$28/hour, based on experience and qualifications, plus overtime opportunities

Job type: Permanent with 3-month probation period

Vacation: 2 weeks paid vacation or 4% vacation pay

Location: Various locations across PEI, with Summerside being the hub

Job duties:

• Install, repair and maintain domestic and commercial plumbing fixtures and systems
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
• Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
• Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
• Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
• Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size

Requirements:

• Must have valid driver's license
• Must have a truck or van (will be paid mileage on all travel)
• Must provide a clean and current criminal record background check
• Residents of PEI are preferred, but will consider other Canadian residents

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
