Overview

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role involves fitting, installing, replacing, and building pipe runs in our shop, including manufacturing and construction environments. The Pipefitter will work closely with the lead hand to ensure that all systems are functioning efficiently and safely upon spool assembly.

Duties

Install, repair, and maintain piping systems according to specifications and codes. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine layout and installation procedures. Perform rigging tasks as necessary for moving heavy materials or equipment. Conduct routine inspection checks on piping assembly to identify potential issues. Use hand tools, calipers, and other measuring devices to ensure precise installations. Collaborate with team members in manufacturing projects to meet deadlines. Apply basic math skills for calculations related to pipe measurements and material requirements.

Requirements

Proven experience in pipefitting or a related field such as plumbing or HVAC. Proficiency in welding techniques is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Familiarity with hand tools, calipers, and other equipment used in pipefitting tasks. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations. Experience in rigging, manufacturing, or construction environments is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety standards.

Pay: $29.39-$39.39 per hour
