Job Description

Industrial Metalwork Inc. is a mining and facility company based out of Tumbler Ridge BC. We specialize in providing shop and field fabrication for facility and modular construction, maintenance and operations work on mining equipment, and fabrication for companies across Canada.

We are currently looking to fill 4 field positions. This is a 14 day on 14 day off schedule, working 12 hr shifts. Accommodations are provided. This project is expected to last for 3 months with possible continuation after that.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. The Pipefitter will be responsible for installing

Steel Pipe

in an industrial mine setting.

Duties

- Plumb and install piping systems according to specifications
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain pipes
- Rig pipes for bolt up and ensure proper alignment
- Build pipe supports and hangers as necessary
- Perform basic math calculations for measurements
- Use calipers to measure and cut pipes accurately
- Interpret schematics and blueprints to determine pipe layouts
- Operate hand tools such as wrenches, saws, and threading machines
- Maintain and repair existing piping systems as needed

Qualifications

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work with various hand tools
- Experience in pipefitting (specifically field fitting)
- Knowledge of maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting piping systems

- Welding Experience Asset

-Experience in industrial/mine environment (preferred)
