Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of mechanical and technical skills, with experience in heavy equipment operation and maintenance. This role requires a strong understanding of various machinery, including excavators, cranes, and HVAC systems. The Journeyperson will be responsible for performing repairs, maintenance, and assembly tasks while ensuring high standards of safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, and forklifts. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm machinery, industrial equipment, and HVAC systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete assembly tasks. Interpret schematics and technical drawings to troubleshoot mechanical issues. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns effectively. Conduct heavy lifting as required during equipment repairs or installations. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Requirements

Proven experience in mechanics or related fields with a strong mechanical knowledge base. Familiarity with automotive repair practices is highly desirable. Experience operating heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, and forklifts is essential. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and maintenance practices. Strong electrical experience is a plus for troubleshooting various systems. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail. Strong communication skills to provide exceptional customer service. Willingness to perform heavy lifting as part of daily responsibilities.
