Job Type:

Full Time, Permanent

Schedule:

10+ Hours per day (day shift), 5 & 2, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week

Shop: 9175 - 14 Street NW, Edmonton, AB

Requirements:

Full Complement of Hand Tools Personal Reliable Vehicle CSA approved steel toed boots with 6" ankle support

Pre-employment:

Drug and alcohol testing which may be swab or urine depending on site requirements Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation Fitness to Work Assessment

Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) (Heavy Duty Mechanic HDM) Qualifications:

Current 4th Year Apprentice HDM Apprentices must be in good standing with AIT Off Road HET experience is REQUIRED Experience with CAT E.T. and S.I.S. and/or Komatsu is REQUIRED Experience with CAT Scrapers is Beneficial Ability to read/troubleshoot and diagnose using hydraulic and electronic schematics Exceptional organization and cleanliness skills are REQUIRED

Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) (Heavy Duty Mechanic HDM) Responsibilities:

Ensure equipment is maintained at the highest standards, in a timely manner Conduct performance and quality checks according to procedure Perform preventative maintenance, repair, and overhauls Promote, execute and adhere to the company's safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture This is a general responsibilities list and does not include all responsibilities required of the position
