Overview:

We are a family-owned business that has been around for 35 years. We have a stable outlook into the future and are looking to grow! We are seeking a skilled Journey person Carpenter to join our team. As a Journey person Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in various construction projects, utilising your expertise in carpentry to ensure high-quality workmanship and project success.

Duties:

work in a team environment with training opportunities ability to embrace physical demands and have physical stamina skilled in using hand tools and power tools for carpentry and renovation work problem solve on site as required
Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Journey person Carpenter, fluent in English
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively
- Skilled in using hand and power tools for carpentry work
- Ability to interpret schematics and blueprints accurately
- Renovation experience is an asset
- Familiarity with drywall, door, window, fence, deck, basic framing, and flooring installation techniques

Safety Gear Compliance - have available the required P.P.E. - steel-toe boots, safety glasses and appropriate construction attire.

Preferred Candidate Attributes:

Proficient in Commercial and Residential Settings: Candidates with a track record in both Residential Construction and Commercial renovations Recognised Red Seal Achievement: Individuals possessing a Red Seal Certification in carpentry or a combination of significant apprenticeship milestones and substantial practical experience will be prioritised. Skilled Craftsmanship: Proficiency in finishing carpentry and framing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.86-$33.63 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
