Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman/Journeywoman/woman to join our team. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of various construction and carpentry techniques, along with the ability to work effectively on diverse projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction, with hands-on experience.

Duties

Perform construction estimating to determine project costs and timelines. Execute trim and frame carpentry tasks with precision. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various projects. Read and interpret blueprints and to guide construction activities. Conduct fabrication tasks for custom builds and modifications. Oversee roofing projects ensuring quality workmanship. Apply woodworking techniques for cabinetry, door hanging, and fixture installation. Participate in water damage restoration efforts, including mold remediation. Execute caulking, stucco application, siding installation, and other finishing tasks. Collaborate with team members on heavy lifting and site management activities. Assist in remodeling projects including flooring installation and tile laying. Provide maintenance person services as needed across various job sites. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working on construction sites.

Requirements

Proven experience in the construction industry with a focus on carpentry work is preferred. Strong skills in carpentry, including trim work, frame carpentry and door hanging. Familiarity with construction painting techniques and metal stud framing is advantageous. Knowledge of plumbing, masonry, electrical work, and heavy lifting protocols is beneficial. Experience with construction site operations ensuring safety and efficiency is essential. Strong problem-solving skills with an attention to detail in all aspects of work. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. A commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$42.00 per hour
