Bird Nason Contracting Group is currently seeking Journeyman Welder Foreman - Orbital/Sanitary.

Journeyman Welder Foreman - Orbital/Sanitary

  • Experienced work history within the Food, Beverage, Dairy and/or Pharmaceutical industries
  • B Pressure Welder with experience in Hand and Orbital TIG welding of Sanitary Process Stainless Steel Tubing
  • Knowledge of applicable sanitary codes - ASME B31.3 Chapter X High Purity Piping, ASME BPE, 3A Sanitary Standard, ASTM 270
  • Knowledge of different Tubing Ra (Rough Average) finish grades and how they apply to specific processing sectors within the Food, Beverage, Dairy and/or Pharmaceutical industries
  • Experience with acceptable levels of Fit & finish in welded process Tubing systems
  • Ability to interpret system P&ID\xe2\x80\x99s, process documents and associated specifications
  • Experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) within each project to ensure standards are met to the applicable quality standard
  • Experience with working within Quality Management Systems (QMS) and project specific Inspection & Test Plans (ITP)
  • Experience with materials procurement & management systems
  • Experience with general construction & material handling practices as applied to sanitary process system.
  • Knowledge of process system passivation, commissioning and startup requirements
  • Knowledge of process system Instrumentation and electrical components and how they integrate within a sanitary process system
  • Perform in house Orbital & Hand TIG welding training, monitoring and auditing
  • Ability to travel & work on Food, Beverage, Dairy and/or Pharmaceutical projects throughout Canada
