We are currently accepting resumes for the position of B Pressure - TIG Welder based in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. We are currently looking for temporary full-time positions for a shutdown in April 2019, and no LOA or subsistence is provided.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to Tartan\xe2\x80\x99s safety management system, policies, procedures and values;
• Onsite welding which includes, position welds and pipefitting;
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and/or welding process specifications;
• Maintenance and repair of equipment in and efficient and timely manner;
• Perform basic troubleshooting of weld machines and parts as required;
• Communicate daily activity with supervisor to maintain the company goals and objectives are met;
• Respond to field support needs in a timely manner;
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment;
• Operate brazing and soldering equipment;
• Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straitening and bedding machines;
• Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers;
• Completes housekeeping duties daily or when required.

Qualifications

• Inter-provincial (Red Seal) Journeyman Welder Ticket (this is a requirement);
• Valid B Pressure ticket (this is a requirement);
• Valid GTAW tickets (this is a requirement);
• Valid CWB ticket;
• Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license;
• CSTS-09 (Mandatory);
• H2S Alive (Mandatory);
• First Aid (Mandatory);
• Experience in heavy oil operating environment;
• Experience in fabrication is an asset;
• Experience in pipefitting;
• Clearance of a pre-screen D & A test.
