We are seeking a skilled, Motivated and experienced Lead Hand Plumbing Journeyman/Apprentice to join our team. The Lead Hand Plumbing Journeyman will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating plumbing projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and providing guidance and support to a team of plumbing technicians. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, excellent leadership abilities, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and safety. We are willing to train and guide the right candidate as well.
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of plumbing technicians, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
Coordinate and oversee plumbing projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
Interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codes to plan and execute plumbing installations and repairs.
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, valves, and fittings.
Perform inspections and diagnostics to identify plumbing issues and determine appropriate solutions.
Perform Walkthrough for Inspections with Plumbing inspector & Mechanical consultant.
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to ensure effective communication and coordination on job sites.
Order and manage materials, tools, and equipment required for plumbing projects, ensuring availability and proper utilization.
Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and industry standards to maintain a safe work environment.
Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure workmanship meets or exceeds established standards.
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client concerns and resolving any issues that may arise during plumbing projects.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including time spent, materials used, and any modifications or changes made.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in plumbing techniques and technologies.
Requirements:
Journeyman plumber certification or equivalent qualification or Schooling.
Proven experience as a Lead Hand or similar supervisory role in plumbing.
In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, including installation, repair, and maintenance techniques.
Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve project goals.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising with clients, contractors, and team members.
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor and work in various environments (e.g., confined spaces, heights, etc.).
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Commitment to safety and knowledge of proper safety procedures and practices.
