We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman/Journeywoman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across a range of commercial and tenant improvement projects.
Your expertise will ensure that all plumbing systems are safe, efficient, and compliant with Manitoba Building Code and industry standards. Key Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including piping, fixtures, valves, and appliances on commercial job sites.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings to execute accurate plumbing layouts.
Assemble, install, and test piping systems using hand and power tools (pipe wrenches, threaders, soldering torches, etc.).
Operate power tools safely for cutting, threading, and fitting pipes in compliance with safety protocols.
Perform occasional welding tasks when required to join metal components securely.
Lift and transport materials and equipment safely to appropriate locations during installations or repairs.
Coordinate with carpenters, HVAC technicians, electricians, and other trades to align work with project timelines.
Troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade existing plumbing systems as needed.
Keep accurate records of work completed, materials used, and inspections performed.
Ensure all work complies with Manitoba Plumbing Code, company safety policies, and industry standards.
Support general site maintenance and assist other trades when necessary to meet project goals.
Qualifications & Experience
Valid Journeyperson Plumber Certificate and Red Seal.
Proven experience in commercial construction or tenant improvement plumbing projects.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints accurately.
Strong hands-on experience with pipe threading, soldering, and use of power tools.
Knowledge of HVAC, mechanical systems, or hydronic heating is an asset.
Familiarity with CSA standards, COR safety procedures, and local regulations.
Able to lift and carry heavy materials safely for extended periods.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a coordinated team.

Pay: $38.00-$42.00 per hour
