Job Description

Ray Johnson Mechanical are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical/Plumber Journeyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating mechanical and plumbing projects, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This role involves managing both commercial, residential and multi-family projects.

Key Responsibilities:



Coordinate and oversee mechanical and plumbing projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to specifications, and local codes. Supervise and assist with the installation, and repair of mechanical systems in commercial, residential and multi-family settings. Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards. Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure project success. Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during projects. Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, and labor hours. Conduct inspections and tests to ensure the functionality and safety of mechanical and plumbing systems.

Qualifications:



Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical and plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair. High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a mechanical or plumbing apprenticeship program or relevant work experience. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and mechanical/plumbing machinery. Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations. Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and equipment.

Preferred Skills:



Certification in mechanical or plumbing systems. Familiarity with building codes and industry standards. Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Work Environment:



Work is performed in a variety of settings, including construction sites, commercial buildings, and multi-family projects. May involve exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, and hazardous materials. Requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, steel toe boots, and hearing protection.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
