We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman/Journeywoman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize your technical skills, and contribute to building safe and reliable infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, valves, and appliances in both residential and commercial buildings.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts
Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and other construction tools to complete tasks efficiently
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols
Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure seamless project execution
Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues early and perform necessary repairs or replacements
Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and compliance with safety standards
Participate in after hours on-call rotation.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Journeyman/Journeywoman Plumber with a valid license or certification in plumbing
Strong knowledge of construction plumbing practices, schematics, and mechanical systems.
Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics accurately
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and other construction tools
Experience working in residential homes and construction sites or in field service environments with a focus on safety and quality
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks regularly
Valid Alberta driver's License
Gas Ticket considered an asset
Cross Connection certification considered an asset
