Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled journeyman pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. As a pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems in various settings. Your expertise will contribute to ensuring that our projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications and layout for piping systems.
• Fabricate, assemble, and install piping systems using hand tools and power tools.
• Weld pipes using appropriate techniques to ensure secure connections.
• Maintain and repair existing piping systems, including troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Plumb new installations according to project requirements.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to coordinate work efforts.
• Utilize calipers and rigs as necessary for precise measurements and installations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools effectively.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications.
• Ability to fabricate and build piping systems according to project needs.
• Experience with welding techniques is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and strength, capable of lifting heavy materials as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 48 per week
