Reference Number: Located in the Southern Athabasca region, MEG\xe2\x80\x99s Christina Lake Project is a multi-phased project approximately 150 kilometers South of Fort McMurray in Northeast Alberta. Comprised of approximately 200 square kilometers of leases, this SAGD operation currently has regulatory approvals in place to produce approximately 210,000 bpd. All workers will be staying at the state-of-the-art Poplar Ridge Lodge, which boasts a gym, rec area, commissary, laundry facility, Wi-Fi, cable, custom sandwiches, as well as full breakfasts and dinners. We have an amazing, experienced site team at MEG Energy who have safety and efficient work practices at the top of mind. Jardeg is recruiting Pipefitter Journeypersons to join the team supporting MEG Energy Pipeline Projects on site near Conklin, Alberta. Long term positions with full-time hours on either an 8/6 OR 21/7 shift rotation. Drive-in/ drive-out to site with Travel Allowance provided.
Currently a $4 per hour incentive will be paid on top of base hourly rate to Pipefitter Journeypersons for all hours worked (regular and overtime).
Currently a $500 ($250 each way) Travel Allowance offered with requirement to drive to and from site each shift.
Steamfitter \xe2\x80\x93 pipefitters lay out, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes. Pipefitters also remove and replace worn components, do general maintenance work and may work on plant shutdowns. Responsibilities:
Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving and bending of pipes, valves and fittings
Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required
Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors
Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion
Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications
Red-line update drawings to an as-built condition
Minimum Requirements:
Pipefitter Journeyperson Ticket
