Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Apprentice or Journeyperson Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing and construction, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. The Journeyperson Plumber will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of plumbing systems. Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various plumbing tasks. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including HVAC technicians and carpenters, to complete projects efficiently. Conduct heavy lifting as needed during installations or repairs. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while on job sites. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their plumbing needs.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with a focus on plumbing systems. Proficiency in HVAC systems maintenance and installation. Experience with construction techniques related to plumbing installations. Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Competence in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing tasks. Familiarity with carpentry skills as they relate to plumbing installations. Capability for heavy lifting as required by job demands. Knowledge of welding techniques for pipe joining when necessary. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently.
