POSITION: Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic

JOB TYPE: Full Time

LOCATION: Clairmont, Alberta

JOB SUMMARY:
The Agency is assisting Wild Horizon Ventures Ltd. in the recruitment of a full-time Heavy Duty Mechanic to join their growing team! Wild Horizon Ventures Ltd is a locally owned company that specializes in heavy agriculture and oilfield equipment hauling. At Wild Horizon, they pride themselves on clean equipment, outstanding customer service, and a positive team atmosphere. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient diagnosis and repairs of their fleet of tractor trailers. This is a vital role in Wild Horizons operations, and we are looking for someone who is experienced, safety-conscious, and dedicated to delivering exceptional service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Diagnosis and repairs on fleet of tractor trailers in a safe and timely manner

Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repair work * Work with dispatch to schedule maintenance and repairs on all equipment as required in between jobs

• Carrying out annual Pre CVIP inspections on both trucks and trailers while coordinating some third-party repairs

• Maintaining records of supplies and parts picked/used in conjunction with closely monitoring the material required for restocking of the shop

• Completing required documentation, such as work completed documents, shop JSAs and time sheets all while maintaining quality documentation via handwritten forms

Maintaining all job-related paperwork to national safety code standards * Staying in compliance with provincial rules and regulations as well as company policies and procedures

Maintaining a clean and organized work environment

REQUIREMENTS:

Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification

Related safety tickets up to date and available upon request

Class 1 Drivers License considered an asset

Clean 5 year Driver Abstract

Physically fit to carry out required job duties

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
