In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll have the opportunity to:

To see that the installation and maintenance of all electrical equipment is carried out properly according to the Ontario Electrical Code, while following and respecting all WPS&H regulations. The building operating system and electrical system are critical to maintaining 100% uptime. These systems require preventative maintenance and repair, including documentation of all work performed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install time sensitive network and power cabling, including connection, location and documentation of all circuits as required.
• Perform preventative equipment maintenance. Scheduled, unscheduled and emergency requests.
• Maintain UPS battery systems for computer rooms and BAU equipment.
• Maintain electrical switchgear.
• Test run and coordinate service for the emergency generator.
• Replace or repair electric motors, including load calculations and amp readings.
• Install, repair or replace lighting fixtures and lamps in the office building.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Journeyman Electrician License 309A Certificate of Qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years or more years experience on current and related jobs.
• Working experience on maintenance of UPS and emergency generation systems.
• Post-secondary school education from a technical college (such as Fanshawe, etc.) in an Electrical Engineering Technician of Technologist program would be an asset
• Familiarity with Angus Anywhere and Metasys software.
• Ability to operate and program BAS software would also be an asset.
